Ellis Stafford set the fastest qualifying time of the day with his X – 5 in the final qualifier to take second on the grid for the mains of the recently-completed B.R.C.A. Indoor Finals.  Stafford parlayed that spot into a win in A-1 and a second in A-3, good enough for the Championship.  The Indoor Finals is the final race of the winter season in the U.K. and is considered a National Championship event.

Phil Sleigh took round one of qualifying with his Losi, and Richard Barton’s BJ was fastest in round 2.  Sleigh came back to TQ the third round and the event while Stafford set the fastest race time of the day in round 4 to secure second spot on the grid.

Ellis Stafford took a comfortable win in A-1 with Cockerill’s xx-4 second and Collinson third.  The technical indoor lay-out including parts of polished gym floor and jumps made of gym mats guaranteed many driver errors and tended to shuffle the results.

A-2 was 1-2 for the BJs of Richard Lowe and Richard Barton, with Collinson third again, and lots of drivers had a chance to win it in A-3.

Phil sleigh made the most of his pole position taking a solid win in A-3, with Collinson second this time and Stafford third.  When the points were sorted, it was Stafford with the win followed by Sleigh and Collinson.
