Horizon Hobby is now showing the Team Losi xx-4 WE for sale again. Rumors are that the kits will be available in mid-November, and that sounds about right to us.

The Horizon site says that new blue belts which have been on the team cars all summer will be included in the kit for the front and side. The usual green belt remains for the rear. The new blue belt reduces driveline drag considerably. Since this has always been a problem for the 3-belt xx-4 this will be a significant improvement.

It appears the WE chassis will be unchanged. We believe the belt covers remain unchanged also.

The Horizon site also mentions "aluminum rear pin braces", and we wonder if these will replace the #2213 pivot blocks. The reason for our wondering is that while many xx-4 parts went to backorder last summer, the #2126 rear hub carriers simply disappeared from the catalogue, and it's possible that the words "aluminum rear pin brace" could mean a new hub carrier. We think it means an aluminum pivot block, but what hub carrier will they use?

It's all wait-and-see.
