PREDATOR X-10 SHIPPED TO FIRST CUSTOMERS.
Images not for download. Property of oople.com

The first of the long-awaited Predator X-10s began arriving to English customers a few days ago. The 4Wd community has been tantalized for about two years, first with rumors, then with a few photos on a web site, and finally with news about a year ago that the new Predator would really be produced.

The new car shares several characteristics with its predecessor, the P-8, including inboard rocker-lever shocks and a two piece main driveshaft that the customer must glue together. As you might surmise, it is a shaft drive car. Also like the P-8, the X-10 photo shows a front wing.

The car is being sold mostly via the internet at this time from www.ttechracing.com and the price there is $575 + shipping, which appears to be about $60 to the US, making the final price somewhere around $635.

There has been much noise and speculation regarding this new car. The P-8 was very fast on certain tracks, but it had several problems and the company essentially disappeared a year or two after the P-8 was produced in the late 90s. Many owners still swear by their P-8s so interest in the new car is quite high.

The first kits arrived missing a shock part, but that was simply an oversight; all customers received the missing part quickly, and all future kits include the part.

The first X-10s may be appearing on English tracks Oct 1st, and our spies are employed taking photos, which we hope to add to this story ASAP, along with results and opinion as to how the car does. Stay tuned for further details.
