TQ Dennis Rumshas broke cleanly from the start to lead Kevin Miller by about a second at the end of lap 1. Miller, who started 7th, worked his way through multiple first-lap crashes. Johnny LoGuidice had the fastest time on lap two, and turned in a 17.5 on lap 4 to pull into second place, just 1.7 sec behind Rumshas. Johnny cut another second off the lead on lap 5, and took first on lap 6.

Rumshas again broke cleanly from the pole to lead lap one, but LoGuidice worked his way through the various crashes to finish lap one in 2nd place. Johnny turned a 17.7 on lap two to take the lead, and never looked back. Dennis set FTD on lap seven with a 17.4, but he had only five sub-19s, while LoGuidice had three 17s and eleven 18s.

With 13-year old LoGuidice sitting out (But not his XX-4. T-Main used Johnny's car for A-3 instead of his own XXX-4.), Jeremy Roach got past Rumshas to lead the first three laps before a mistake let Rumshas by. They were within 1 sec on each of the next three laps before Dennis make a mistake of his own on lap 8, and Roach never looked back.
