Ellis Stafford Joins X Factory!

X Factory is proud to have two time European Chamption Ellis Stafford on the Team. Ellis has been racing for 22 years, and is considered one of the elder statesmen of English and European R/C. Soon after starting in R/C, Stafford won the 4WD European Championship in 1992, winning that contest again in 2005. Ellis won the BRCA National title in buggy in 1996 and again in 2000, compiling a total of 27 National race wins. Often seen at the track with his wife and 2 children he is known to be very helpful and always chatty to anyone that wants to talk to him.

On a trans-Atlantic phone call, The Big E said, "I've liked the X - 5 concept since it was first announced and I knew where I had to go. The X Factory Team is very competitive. Chazz has assembled top drivers who all are innovators and I believe we will have superior designs going forward."

"The mid-motor concept is quickly proving itself in European racing and I look forward to the innovative X - 6. It has several features I hadn't thought of, and the car is superb. Obviously I've had a long love affair with the xx-4, and the X - 5 is a killer adaptation of that proven car."

"X Factory cars have balance. That makes them easy to drive for the novice and pro racer alike. A well-balanced car is predictable, handles irregularities better, and reacts predictably to quick inputs. I can win with X Factory because we've got the design advantage. And after having a year with the cars I’m convinced I have made the right move. Now that I've learned to handle the car, next year is all out attack for all the major wins."

Fellow teammate Dan Greenwood admires the precision and knowledge that Ellis is famous for, "I call Ellis 'The Machine.' He is so professional it's almost scary. His cars are prepared to perfection every time and his knowledge of car setup is as good as anyone in the business. Ellis isn't scared to gamble on either track or on setup; I've learned a lot from him this year."

Reached at his home in California, Brian Kinwald said, "I first met Ellis when I went to the British GP in 1991 and I've admired his talent ever since. He's been a fierce competitor for a long time on the European scene, and I'm glad he's on our side now..."

This gives X Factory one of the very top drivers on both sides of the Atlantic. Both Ellis and Brian are known as design and development guys, and they fit the X Factory Team perfectly. Look for "The Big E" with his calculator doing The New Math!
