How to Make 4wd Front Tires
Here is a wonderful description of how to make 4wd front tires out of some Losi Rear Step-pins from one of our customers in Walla Walla Washington. He cuts a strip from the middle of the tire and glues them backtogether again; by the end they really do look like Losi made them! His story:

"Front step pins for a 4wd are not hard to make, just a little time consuming.

The best tire I have found to make them out of is the Team Losi buggy rear step pins.
Start by cutting a strip out of the center of the tire. You will see a rib down the center of the tire where the two halves of the mold come together. Take two rows of pins out of the inside half and one row of pins out of the outside half. The staggered rows make perfect cutting lines, make long cuts with your scissors so the edges are flat and even to be glued back together.

Cutting the Tires Apart

When gluing them back together, take your time. I use Losi treadlock glue and start with just a drop on one side. Hold the tire together and get the tread pattern lined up. Do a small section at a time, about 1/4" so you can keep the two halves of the carcass lined up and even.

When you are done, it will look like Losi made them!"
